Internal Independent Bodies

HSBC has two internal independent bodies to deal with matters that remain unresolved. They are:

  • Office of the Ombudsman
  • Office of the Privacy Officer

Office of the Ombudsman

Consistent with industry standards, HSBC has established an Office of the Ombudsman to help with matters that remain unresolved after working through other channels. Receipt of your complaint will be acknowledged in writing or by telephone. A detailed investigation will ensue, followed by a written response from the Ombudsman.

Office of the Privacy Officer

If you have unanswered questions or unresolved concerns or complaints about the way in which personal information is collected, used or disclosed by HSBC, please contact our Privacy Officer. Receipt of your complaint will be acknowledged in writing or by telephone. A detailed investigation will ensue, followed by a written response from the Privacy Officer.
