British and Irish Lions

HSBC recently announced the renewal of its sponsorship of the British & Irish Lions. The partnership, which will run until the end of the next Lions Tour to Australia in 2013, follows the successful sponsorship of the 2009 tour to South Africa, signed in 2007. The agreement means that HSBC are the first Principal Partner to ever renew a sponsorship with The Lions and will see the Group become shirt sponsor of the team once again.

Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI)

HSBC is the exclusive financial services partner to the international governing body for the equestrian sport, the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) that sees the world's local bank sponsor Eventing globally. As part of the partnership, HSBC has also teamed up with the Pony Club, the world's largest youth organization, to create the HSBC Pony Club Eventing Training program. This program offers free tuition to all of Britain's Pony Club branches from the very best eventing trainers. HSBC also offers training bursaries to the winners of each class in the Grassroots Championship at the HSBC FEI Classics events, aiming to involve young riders in prestigious event competition in the early stages of their eventing careers.

IRB Sevens World Series

IRB Sevens World Series

IRB Sevens World Series comprises of rugby tournaments in Dubai, South Africa, New Zealand, USA, Australia, Hong Kong, England and Scotland. Each tournament involves 16 teams (except Hong Kong which hosts 24), made up of 12 "core teams" and sufficient invitees to fill out the field. As well as developing the game within established nations, HSBC will also use this sponsorship to grow the game within emerging rugby nations, as we have done with our golf sponsorships and programs.
