Welcome to a world of recognition for your everyday spending. The HSBC Personal Rewards Program allows you to earn Rewards Points on most of your everyday spending, earning 1 Rewards Point for $1 in eligible purchases with your HSBC MasterCard.1
If you enroll, a $35 annual Rewards fee will be charged for each card issued on your MasterCard Account, including all supplemental cards. The annual Rewards fee is charged to your Account on the date of enrollment and annually on the anniversary date.

How To Earn Rewards Points
The HSBC Personal Rewards Program makes earning Rewards Points easy.
Below is an example of how using your card for your monthly purchases and expenses, such as gas and groceries, can help you earn Rewards Points:

Redeeming Your Rewards Points
You can redeem your Rewards Points from a range of rewards, including:
- Book Your Own Travel – Provides you with the flexibility to plan the trip you want, whenever you want.
- Book your hotel, flights, car rentals, etc., using your HSBC MasterCard, then contact HSBC Rewards at
1-866-688-HSBC within 60 days to redeem your Rewards Points for a statement credit towards your purchase. - Book your trip however you want – Online, through your travel agent or directly with the airline of your choice.
- Find the best deals – Take advantage of seat sales or last minute specials.
- Book your hotel, flights, car rentals, etc., using your HSBC MasterCard, then contact HSBC Rewards at
- Financial rewards – Use your points to pay down your HSBC Bank Canada residential mortgage (use the calculator to see how much you can save), to make a contribution to an HSBC Advance Savings account, or towards a statement credit on your HSBC MasterCard Account.
- Gift cards and merchandise – Choose gift cards from a variety of stores or select from over 150 premium merchandise options.
Additional Bonus Rewards Points – Effective January 1, 2012
Introducing a new way for enrolled cardholders to earn extra Rewards Points by simply using your card. When you reach $10,000 in eligible net purchases for the calendar year, you'll automatically begin to earn 10% more Rewards Points up to a maximum of 5,000 Bonus Rewards Points.3
For example, if your net purchases for the year are $15,000, you'll earn 15,000 Rewards Points, plus an additional 500 Bonus Rewards Points on the $5,000 spent above $10,000 ($5,000 x 10% = 500 Additional Bonus Rewards Points).
Total Rewards Points: 15,000 + 500 = 15,500
On January 1st each year, the amount of your annual purchases (for purposes of calculating the bonus Rewards Points) resets to zero.
