Your HSBC Premier MasterCard makes it easy for you to experience the best the world has to offer. When you enroll in the HSBC Premier Rewards Program, you will have many options for enhancing your plans, like upgrading to first-class flights on your family vacation or converting your Rewards Points for frequent flyer miles.
Use your HSBC Premier MasterCard for all your everyday spending, and you'll earn 1 Rewards Point for $1 in eligible purchases.1 In addition, receive a Welcome Bonus of 5,000 Rewards Points upon enrollment.2
Redeeming Your Rewards Points
You can redeem your Rewards Points from a range of rewards, including:
- Book Your Own Travel – Using your HSBC Premier MasterCard for all your travel needs is now more rewarding than ever before. Arrange all your travel – including flights, hotels, car rentals, and more – and book them using your HSBC Premier MasterCard. In addition, use your card to purchase premium travel luxuries, such as first-class airline tickets, hotel suites or premium car rentals. Simply contact HSBC Rewards at 1-866-611-HSBC within 60 days to redeem points for a statement credit towards the cost of your purchase.
- Book your trip however you want – Online, through your travel agent or directly with the airline of your choice.
- Find the best deals – Take advantage of seat sales or last minute specials.
- Financial rewards – Use your points to pay down your HSBC Bank Canada residential mortgage (use the calculator to see how much you can save), to make a contribution to your HSBC Advance Savings account, or towards a statement credit on your HSBC Premier MasterCard Account.
- Gift cards and merchandise – Choose gift cards from a variety of stores or select from over 150 premium merchandise options.
Additional Bonus Rewards Points – Effective January 1, 2012
Introducing a new way for enrolled cardholders to earn extra Rewards Points just by using your card. When you reach $10,000 in eligible net purchases for the calendar year, you'll automatically begin to earn 25% more Rewards Points up to a maximum of 10,000 Bonus Rewards Points.3
For example, if your net purchases for the year are $15,000 you'll earn 15,000 Rewards Points, plus an additional 1,250 Bonus Rewards Points on the additional $5,000 spent above $10,000 ($5,000 x 25% = 1,250 Additional Bonus Rewards Points).
Total Rewards Points = 15,000 + 1,250 = 16,250
On January 1 of each year, the amount of your annual purchases (for purposes of calculating the bonus Rewards Points) resets to zero.

Exclusively reserved for HSBC Premier MasterCard cardholders enrolled in the HSBC Premier Rewards Program, you can convert your Rewards Points into miles of participating airline rewards programs.
