Economy Class Flight Redemption Schedule: Maximum Ticket Fare:
There is a Maximum Ticket Fare for each economy class destination. If the price of an airline ticket exceeds the Maximum Ticket Fare the additional cost can either be charged to your HSBC MasterCard or you can redeem additional Rewards Points at a rate of 100 Rewards Points = $1 CDN.

Rewards Points are redeemed in accordance with the Redemption Schedule above. The Maximum Ticket Fare indicated on the Maximum Ticket Fare Schedule does not include any Taxes, Service Fees and Other Charges.

Taxes and additional surcharges are not included. These charges must be paid for separately on your HSBC MasterCard or in Rewards Points at a rate of 100 Rewards Points = $1.00.

A service fee of $35.00 (plus applicable taxes) will be applied for each Travel Reward that is booked through the HSBC Rewards Customer Care. This fee is non-refundable and applies to each individual airline/rail ticket, travel package ticket, cruise package ticket, car rental and hotel booking.

A handling fee of $35.00 (plus applicable taxes) will also be charged for changes to an existing Travel Reward booking, in addition to any service charges applied by the travel provider. This fee is non-refundable and applies to each booking.

Tickets for domestic, transborder and international airline travel must be booked at least 14 days in advance of your travel date and the return trip must include a Saturday night stay. If your flight is within 14 days or does not include a Saturday night stay, the “Book Your Own Flight” reward option provides great flexibility and value- please refer to details here.
