HSBC’s Annual Multi Trip insurance plan covers expenses for medical emergencies that your provincial health insurance plan doesn’t cover when you’re traveling out-of-province or out of Canada for all the trips you plan to take in the coming year.
In the event of a medical emergency, we coordinate direct payments to medical providers wherever possible, so you can focus on recovering.
The Annual Multi Trip insurance plan also covers expenses arising from trip interruption and lost, damaged, or delayed baggage at no extra cost.

This HSBC policy has a comprehensive travel insurance product that will take the worry out of traveling. Consider this before traveling:
- Your employee package may only cover the employee and not their family,
- Most employee packages only cover medical. The HSBC Multi Trip Plan includes trip interruption and baggage;
- Your employee benefits may request that you pay up front and then you are reimbursed when you get home.
If you want to stay longer than ten days on any of your trips you can call us just before you leave to purchase the additional days to ensure that you have complete coverage. Or, if you decide to stay longer while you are away you can call us from your destination prior to the 10th day of your trip and you can purchase the extra number of days so that you can continue to enjoy your trip.
Jocelyn and Benoit were excited about their family's summer holiday plans. They booked some weekends at a cottage in the next province, and summer would end with a two-week trek throughout the Maritimes. On their last trip, the boys wanted to rock climb. They had peace of mind about their travels having purchased annual trip insurance though HSBC. Within the first hour, Claude took a tumble, suffering a sprained ankle and three cracked ribs. Since Jocelyn and Benoit had purchased Annual Multi Trip Family insurance, all of Claude's medical expenses were covered. They could turn their attention to nursing their son's embarrassed pride.
