1. How do I change my address?

An address change request must be provided in writing, with appropriate signature(s). You can fax it to 1-866-336-8471 or mail it to:

2. What do I do if I have concerns about my account?

Our knowledgeable Investment Representatives are available to answer your technical questions and provide you with the best possible service. If you have questions about a trade, please call your HSBC InvestDirect Client Service Centre immediately and provide us with the details of the trade, when it was placed, and the name of the Investment Representative who took your trade (if you placed it over the phone). Any general inquiries concerning your balances or transaction history can be directed to a client services representative. Should you have any specific concerns about the service provided by any of our representatives, ask to speak with a team leader who is available to hear and discuss your concerns. Contact us.

3. What is Single Sign On?

Single Sign On allows you to access your HSBC InvestDirect account(s) through the HSBC Personal Internet Banking site. When you logon to the Personal Internet Banking site (www.hsbc.ca), simply click on the InvestDirect link and you will be taken directly to the InvestDirect account(s).

4. How do I register for Single Sign On?

  1. Logon to your Personal Internet Banking account (www.hsbc.ca)
  2. Click on the InvestDirect link on the left hand navigational bar
  3. Read and accept the Terms of Use and continue to logon.
  4. Enter your InvestDirect logon information

Please note: Once your InvestDirect account(s) have been successfully linked, the next time you logon through Personal Internet Banking and click the InvestDirect link you will be automatically logged into your InvestDirect Home Page.

5. Is Single Sign On secure?

At HSBC, the security of your information is vital. Our systems and security procedures are designed to keep your personal and financial data confidential at all times.

You also play a significant role in the safety of your information. With "Single Sign On", your Personal Banking Access Number and password is now key to both your on-line accounts. We would like to remind you to never give out personal information to anyone on the telephone or other website unless you have verified the credibility of the source or have initiated the call to a trusted source.

If you prefer the added protection of having separate passwords for your on-line HSBC Bank account(s) and HSBC InvestDirect account(s), "Single Sign On" may not be the right solution for you. Click here for more details on InvestDirect's site security

Only one InvestDirect Access ID can be linked to this service at any time.

7. Can I link to my Personal Internet Banking Accounts from InvestDirect?

You can only access InvestDirect account(s) through Personal Internet Banking. There is currently no link on InvestDirect to link to your Personal Internet Banking account(s).
