Paulo Maia
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Maia joined HSBC in 1993 and has held executive positions in each of the bank's main business lines: Commercial Banking; Global Banking and Markets; and Retail Banking and Wealth Management. Mr. Maia has worked in Brazil, Great Britain, the United States and Australia. He was appointed Executive Director of HSBC Bank Brazil in 2000 and Deputy Chief Executive Officer in Brazil in 2008. He was most recently Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Bank Australia before his appointment on January 7, 2013 as President and Chief Executive Officer for HSBC Bank Canada based in Vancouver. On August 12, 2013 Mr. Maia was appointed Group General Manager of HSBC Holdings plc. For 11 years prior to joining HSBC, he held positions in corporate finance and corporate banking in New York, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.


Sandra Stuart
Chief Operating Officer
Ms. Stuart joined HSBC in 1980 and rose through the organization by taking on a variety of roles in Vancouver and Toronto, including Senior Vice President and Head of Operations, HSBC Bank Canada. She has completed secondments in the U.S. as Chief Information Officer, Head of Information Technology for Group Personal Financial Services, HSBC North America, and Senior Director, Distributed Networks, and in Brazil as the Senior Manager Call Centre Operations. Ms. Stuart was appointed Chief Operating Officer for HSBC Bank Canada in December 2010. She is also an Executive Director for HSBC Bank Canada, as well as the National Chair of HSBC's Diversity and Inclusion Council. Ms. Stuart is a member of UBC's Sauder School of Business Faculty Advisory Board.


Betty Miao
Executive Vice President and Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management
Ms. Miao joined HSBC in Hong Kong over 22 years ago and progressively took on senior roles over the years in Asia, the UK and North America including AVP Corporate Banking in New York, Operations Manager in Vietnam, Manager Group personal Financial Services in London, Deputy to the Head of Personal Financial Services in China, Head of Planning in Japan, and most recently Head of RBWM in Taiwan. Ms. Miao was appointed Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management for HSBC Bank Canada in June 2012.


Jason Henderson
Executive Vice President, Managing Director and Head of Global Banking and Markets
Mr. Henderson is the Managing Director and Head of Global Banking and Markets for HSBC Bank Canada. He is also a member of the Executive and Asset and Liability Committees for the Canadian bank. Mr. Henderson possesses an extensive background in capital markets both in Canada and abroad. He joined HSBC in 2006 in New York where he was Head of Currency & Commodity Derivatives for the Americas. Prior to joining HSBC he spent 13 years with another Canadian financial institution. Mr. Henderson holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen's University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.


Jacques Fleurant
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Fleurant joined HSBC in 2000 in Toronto and since then served in a variety of senior finance and operations positions. He was most recently Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for HSBC Global Banking and Markets business in Canada before his appointment on July 1, 2012 as Chief Financial Officer for HSBC Bank Canada based in Vancouver. He is a member of the Executive and Risk Management Committees and chairs the Bank's Asset and Liability Committee. Mr. Fleurant is a member of the Society of Certified Management Accountants.


Ralph Hilton
Chief Risk Officer
Mr. Hilton is responsible for all risk types that the bank faces including credit, market, operational, security & fraud, compliance and reputational risk. He joined HSBC in 1983 and was appointed Chief Risk Officer in June 2012 after having recently held the position of Chief Credit Officer. He has served in several senior positions across various business lines and risk management functions. In his current role, he is an active member on several executive committees which lead the strategic direction of the Bank.


Linda Seymour
Executive Vice President, Head of Commercial Banking and Regional President, Central and Eastern Canada
Ms. Seymour has over twenty years of experience in the financial services industry with HSBC Bank Canada. Ms. Seymour has had a diverse career with progressively senior roles in Commercial Banking and Personal Financial Services. Previously, she was Senior Vice President Commercial Banking, Ontario Region and prior to that Senior Vice President and Head of Branch Operations.
