Do I need to have a joint account with my spouse or partner in order to qualify as a household?
- No, you’re not required to hold a joint account together. You can hold sole account or a combination of both sole and joint. Whatever works for you to manage your finances as a family.
Can my partner keep their HSBC Advance chequing account, but be part of my Premier household?
- No, each member of the household must have at least one Premier chequing account, joint or sole, to be part of Premier household relationship.
Will my accounts still be private?
- Yes, there are no changes to your privacy preferences. You’ll only have access to your own sole accounts and to accounts held jointly (if any) with your partner.
Why do I need to designate a Primary household member?
- The primary household member is responsible for paying the Premier monthly package fee if none of the fee waiving eligibility criteria are met.
Can I add my child to be part of my household?
- No, household qualification is only available for spouses and common-law partners.
Can I be part of more than one household?
- No, you can only be part of one household at a time. If you want to make changes, speak to your Relationship Manager about withdrawing from your current household relationship and applying for a new one.
